I have worked in Air Force for 25+ yrs and have more than 25 yrs of experience in Orthopedics. I have special interest and expertise in Joint Replacement.
I have done more than 4000 joint replacement surgeries which includes more than 250 revision surgeries. I have expertise in all types of primary and revision TKR &  THR, Total Elbow replacement, Hemi & Total shoulder replacement, Reverse shoulder replacement. I have done lot of Tumour prosthesis also. I have expertise in Computer Assisted Navigation TKR and also latest disposable navigation i-Assist. I was posted in Army Hospital (R & R) from 2008 to 2012 for 4 yrs and was performing only Joint Replacement Surgeries. Presently I am at Command Hospital Air Force Bangalore and performing more than 400 joint surgeries/year for more than 5 yrs. I have done Dr Ranawat  Arthroplasty Fellowship from Hospital for Special Surgeries ,New York USA in 2009. I had done Training in Adult Reconstruction & Hip revision at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada in 2012 under Dr Allan Gross who is master in Allograft & Revision Hip surgery.
I follow lot of SOP and protocols for faster and smooth outcomes of my patients. Every patients record goes into joint registry including theirs Knee Society, HSS, WOMAC and other scores and follow up visit. A patient information booklet is designed for THR & TKR separately with includes their implant stickers and follow up visit. I also run video of patients testimonial and their progress to encourage other patients. I give multi-modal pain therapy including local infiltration of cocktail during surgeries. Most of my patients walk on same day of surgery and discharge 3-5 days. I also perform Bilateral TKR and THR in same sitting in well screened patients.
I have lot of experience in complex, neglected , Pelvi-Acetabular, Peri- articular trauma. I can perform all types Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis (MIPO).
I also do Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy with includes Bankarts Repair, SLAP repair, Subacromial decompression, ACL & PCL reconstruction, Meniscal Repair, Osteochondral Autologous Cartilage Transplant(OATS), Medial Patello Femoral Lig Reconstruction (MPFL).
